Job Summary
Summary: Serve as the primary IT/OT support resource for laboratory and test equipment, bridging engineering, facilities, vendors, controls teams, and enterprise IT to minimize downtime and resolve issues end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support laboratory test systems, HIL platforms, industrial equipment and specialized applications.
- Troubleshoot Windows, drivers, software, USB devices, PCs and data-transfer issues.
- Provide basic Allen-Bradley PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting.
- Support network connectivity, whitelisting, firewall and infrastructure-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, engineering teams and Plant IT through issue resolution.
- Document incidents, root causes, fixes and knowledge articles.
Required Skills:
- Windows support, hardware/software troubleshooting and networking fundamentals.
- Experience in IT, OT, manufacturing, laboratory or engineering environments.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, permissions and system administration.
- Ability to support legacy systems and non-standard environments.
- Strong problem-solving, vendor coordination and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Allen-Bradley PLCs, ladder logic and industrial networking.
- HIL systems, test equipment, data acquisition systems and OT environments.
- Automotive, manufacturing or R&D laboratory experience.
- Desktop and workstation support, including legacy Windows
- Drivers, peripherals, and industrial PCs
- Basic networking and industrial equipment connectivity
- Hands-on-around equipment: checking cables, connecting interfaces, verifying network connections, and working directly with engineers and technicians
